How to successfully persuade
A persuasive speech outline example using Monroe's Motivated Sequence
How do successful advertising campaigns work? Why are some people’s speeches more able to motivate and inspire than others?
The secret ingredient is quite likely to be Monroe's Motivated Sequence, a time proven five step structure that follows the psychology of persuasion. It was developed by its namesake, Alan H Monroe, a communications professor at Purdue University in the 1930s.
For an explanation of these five steps with an example speech outline, and a free printable blank outline please visit: persuasive speech outline - Monroe’s Motivated Sequence in action.
Happy teaching, happy speaking,
