Have you ever been in a position where you had an opportunity to give a short speech of thanks, and haven’t been able to pull the words you wanted together?

I have. I remember standing on a stage on the last night of the first play I directed, blithering into a bunch of flowers I’d been handed, and forgetting to mention people who’d been hugely supportive.
