Narrative speeches: 125 topic ideas
Plus, guidelines, a printable outline and more for storytelling speeches
I love narrative or storytelling speeches. A story told well can quickly flick me into a trance like state. I’ll ‘oooo’, ‘aahh’ and ‘ohhhh’ on cue. I’ll laugh and sometimes even cry.
Regardless of who, or where, we are the most powerful stories are personal. They’re the game changers, the significant events: meetings, accidents, cultural jolts, and life lessons that have made an impact on us.
They’re about family, our children, love, marriage, friends, politics, education, work, living in society, philosophy, the natural world, ...
In telling them we reveal aspects of ourselves: sharing our innermost thoughts and feelings.
