'tis the season to be jolly - end of year speeches made easier
Guidelines and examples of Christmas office party speeches, a farewell speech for a colleague plus Christmas themed impromptu speech topics. All with printables.
The holiday season is rapidly approaching- that time where you may find yourself expected to cobble together a few words for an end of year function. And/or asked to give a farewell speech for someone leaving your workplace.
Despite wanting to channel good-will and joy to all, either, or both, can feel onerous if you’re already staring down a long to-do list trying to work out which ones you can safely shelve.
To help, here’s an easily followed, step by step outline for a Christmas office party speech, with an example, to take the pressure off preparing something from scratch.
(Open the page and you’ll find links to a couple more short speech examples as well as to a printable speech outline document for your own use.)
And here’s a guideline for putting together a meaningful farewell speech for a colleague. There’s an example speech, plus three printables: two are for brainstorming potential content, and the third is a speech outline for organizing it effectively and efficiently.
Very lastly, (and slightly off topic - a sidestep from end-of-year and farewell speeches to impromptu speaking), for the Toastmasters among you, or anybody else wanting seasonal impromptu speech ideas, here’s 20 Christmas themed table topics plus a printable of them.
I hope they’re all useful. ☺
Wishing you an abundance of love, health and strength,
Happy teaching, happy speaking,
Susan
